I tried the above replacement. That is not a valid web address. What is
wrong?
yum will replace $releasever with "5" and basearch with "i386" (or
whatever), then the url will be:
http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=extras-5&arch=i386
This works as a valid web address.
