I just installed the latest kernel (2.6.18-1.2200.fc5smp) and now see a 40 second time out on amy disk controller at boot time. This didn't occur before the update (2.6.17-1.2187_FC5smp). Once the time out is over, the boot proceeds normally. Everything else seems fine. Should I report a bug? Can I suppress the time out (whatever it is)? dmesg: Freeing unused kernel memory: 244k freed Write protecting the kernel read-only data: 383k Time: tsc clocksource has been installed.
