Just to say that I have also seen this problem but never really looked into it.
 
I'm using current FC4 firefox, 1.0.8-1 I think and I see it also on sites like http://news.sky.com/skynews/home
 
and
 
http://www.europeantour.com
 
and probably a few others that I have forgotten right now!
