I'm using FC5 + these mail programs:

sendmail-8.13.7-2.fc5.2
procmail-3.22-16.2.1
sendmail-doc-8.13.7-2.fc5.2
For the sendmail I've added /etc/mail/authinfo,
so that I can send mail through their SMTP server
and this works ok for me.
Also I have put my mail address into /root/.forward:
hxxxxxx:afarber {223} sudo cat /root/.forward
Alexander.Farber@xxxxxxxxx
hxxxxxx:afarber {224} sudo ls -l /root/.forward
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 27 Oct 5 09:52 /root/.forward
My problem is that the mails sent to root go to
root@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and not to
Alexander.Farber@xxxxxxxxxx I see them in
the Gmail's "Sent Mail", but not in the "Inbox":

Could someone please give me a hint, what could I be missing here?
I want the root mails to go to the address listed in /root/.forward and
not to root@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx !
