Thanks Dave,

The new kernel seems to have fixed the Panic problem.

Any insight into having to use the kernel option irqpoll for the kernel
to see the SATA drives on boot up, or the errors for the DVD's;

hda [and hdb] :cdrom_pc_intr: The drive appears confused (ireason 0x01).
Trying to recover by ending request.
