installed the 2.6.17-1.2187_FC5 rpm.

booted 2187.  kernel panic.  every time i boot that kernel.

re-downloaded the rpm and re-installed it.  there are no additional
modules -- plain vanilla kernel.

always panics like this.  but the 2174 and prior kernels come up just
fine.

sure would like to solve this problem.  anyone have any suggestions?
not sure what other information to collect.

Hi john bray!

A couple of questions.  What kind of disks are you using?  Do they
need special drivers?  If so, are these drivers included in the new
initrd for your new kernel?
