I've got thousands of digital images that we've taken over the years with our digital camera. I'm always getting bugged by friends and family to share the images. Its a pain emailing people the images all the time. I'd like to have a photo sharing system whereby I could publish the images on the web via a server I already have and allow people to look at them via a browser protected by a password. They would need to be able to view thumbnails, smaller versions and full size versions of each image. As well as download the image files if they want to make prints for themselves. I don't want to use an image hosting service. I've done that and its a pain. So what applications are available for Linux and what server apps are needed to support them ? -- Kim Lux, Diesel Research Inc.
