Wuts the different between rpm -ivh and rpm -Uvh?
Say you have package foobar-1.1 installed. rpm -ivh foobar-2.1.rpm will install foobar-2.1 alongside foobar-1.1. So if you do rpm -q foobar, the results will be foobar-1.1 foobar-2.1 OTOH (On The Other Hand) if you did a rpm -Uvh instead, foobar-2.1 will replace foobar-1.1. So rpm -q will list only foobar-2.1.
