iiimf-x-12.2-4.fc4.2

# yum list installed iiimf-*
Loading "installonlyn" plugin
# rpm -qa | grep iiimf
No printout

It seems they haven't been installed. I'm running Scim. Does it
matter?

If the install hasn't completed, things aren't going to work as expected, I think.

To use Chinese input I must set LC_CTYPE and GTK_IM_MODULE.
Something like this:

LC_CTYPE=zh_CN.UTF-8 GTK_IM_MODULE=iiim thunderbird

Which file shall I edit instead of exporting it each time before
editing Chinese.  TIA

You've tried .bash_profile ?

But it shouldn't be this hard, I think.
