I'm running FC5 on an HP Compaq nx9110 laptop. I needed to burn some CDs so I added hdc=ide-scsi to my grub.conf. This did give me the ability to burn CDs but I had two unwanted side affects. 1) First my VMWare player came up complaining it could no longer find or use /dev/hdc 2) When I put a disc in the CD/DVD drive it auto mounts like usual, but instead of one icon on the desktop I get 5 or 6. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Still googling, but if anyone knows I'd appreciate the help. Thanks, James
