Hmm, I was trying the very latest server,
VMware-server-1.0.0-28343.i386.rpm
Some of the other folks are saying they don't need the patch. I
downloaded the patch but there's no documentation with it, I'll give it
a try.
I ran it:
[root@arthur vmware-any-any-update101]# ./runme.pl
Updating /usr/bin/vmware-config.pl ... unknown version
The file /usr/lib/vmware/modules/source/vmmon.tar that this script was
about to
install already exists. Overwrite? [yes]
At which point I stopped.
Say yes. The worst that will happen is you'll have to reinstall
your VMware Server rpm.
You might also mention your issue on vmware.com discussion board or
newsgroups. I suspect that the script is just a bit out of date.
