I normally run "shutdown -r now" or "shutdown -h now" to get out of the rescue mode.
This doesn't work for me. I see the following: sh-3.1# shutdown -r now (running in test mode). Greetings. anaconda installer init version 11.0.5 starting mounting /proc filesystem... done creating /dev filesystem... done mounting /dev/pts (unix98 pty) filesystem... done mounting /sys filesystem... done sh-3.1# Any other ideas?
I would not expect a clean shutdown just by exiting the shell.
Why not? In FC4, when I exited the rescue mode shell it appeared to unmount everything, kill all procs, and reboot. I'd say that's a clean shutdown. -- Adam Monsen
