In that case, it's probably time to take the question to another couple of 
lists.  I'd try both kde-linux@xxxxxxx and alsa-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx  
Replies may not be as quick as they usually are on this list, but both lists 
are helpful.
