I should have also added to my email that one of the first things I did was boot memtest86 from a floppy and run it for about an hour. I do this periodically anyway just to keep an eye on my systems. This sytem had been running completely stable on FC3 for the past 6 months. I hope that if this is a kernel bug, the developers get it fixed in the near future.
