Locking doors help prevent physical access. The possibility of either being compromised, does not discourage you from implementing the security in the first place, does it? Conversely, neither of these methods absolutely assures security either, but without either, the risks are increased to the point of probability. Exposing private data is just one of many unnecessary risks. -- K.
