how did you identify kudzu as the problem)

incidentally, try

yum -d system-config-network

which should download it to /var/cache/yum/ somewhere
then install it locally with rpm -Uvh --force --nodeps
(although this is really not a good idea. It is feasible that the
dependency is there because s-c-n won't work without kudzu...)
