Is there anyway in FC5 to use the File Browser as the default file
manager, rather than the default single folder window?
I want to have this load when I double click on a folder / mounted
drive.
Even easier (in FC5), from the the File Manager menu go to Edit |
Preferences, select the Behavior tab and check "Always open in browser
windows."
There is also a checkbox for allowing text in the browser bar instead
of ICONs.
Or press ctrl-L to show the location when you need (to enter) it.
DaveT.
I use the text information frequently, ctl-L would be too frequent a need.
At least the default is not for relative paths as in windows. I need to
change its default to full path, less it be as worthless a feature as
nautilus default.
We are not alone for bad defaults.
