[OT] Pass keycodes from bash script to an app

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

Is it possible in bash to create a script that launches an app (e.g.
gnome-terminal), and then passes a scan-code representing a key (e.g.
F11) to the application?. In this example, the affect would be as if a
person had started GNOME Terminal, and then pressed F11.

I'm curious about this because in the FC3 version of gnome-terminal,
there is no --full-screen option. I would like to be able to start
GNOME Terminal in full screen mode without having to manually press F11
after it's started.
