I hope this isn't a stupid question!
Can the history commands in the terminal be cleared? If so, how is it
done?
Dennis

history -c

While we're on the subject, can history *not* record a command if it is identical to the previous command?

It's great being able to recall past commands.... but sometimes I use the same command multiple times before wanting to go back to some different one. Is it it useful to know "this command was entered 5 times in a row? I think it's more useful to just use as a "recall previous (different) command...

Is this an RFE sort of thing? I'll gladly create a rfe/bug ...

:-)
