For some reason SD cards are mounted read only on my FC3 machine. How do I fix this?

While it is mounted what is in /etc/mtab ?

I added the newlines between entries because my editor seems to be ignoring insturctiuons to turn off line wraping. Here is /etc/mtab:

/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00 / ext3 rw 0 0

none /proc proc rw 0 0

none /sys sysfs rw 0 0

none /dev/pts devpts rw,gid=5,mode=620 0 0

usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs rw 0 0

/dev/hda1 /boot ext3 rw 0 0

none /dev/shm tmpfs rw 0 0

/dev/hdb5 /usr/share/music ext3 rw 0 0

/dev/hdb6 /usr/usrbak ext3 rw 0 0

none /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc binfmt_misc rw 0 0

sunrpc /var/lib/nfs/rpc_pipefs rpc_pipefs rw 0 0

/dev/sdc1 /media/MARKSCARD vfat rw,nosuid,nodev,sync,noatime,iocharset=utf8,fscontext=system_u:object_r:removable_t,user=mark 0 0

Just in case you need it here is /etc/fstab:

# This file is edited by fstab-sync - see 'man fstab-sync' for details

/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 / ext3 defaults 1 1

LABEL=/boot /boot ext3 defaults 1 2

none /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0

none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0

none /proc proc defaults 0 0

none /sys sysfs defaults 0 0

/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01 swap swap defaults 0 0

/dev/hdb5 /usr/share/music ext3 defaults 1 1

/dev/hdb6 /usr/usrbak ext3 defaults 1 1

/dev/hdc /media/cdrecorder auto pamconsole,exec,noauto,fscontext=system_u:object_r:removable_t,managed 0 0

/dev/sdc1 /media/MARKSCARD vfat pamconsole,exec,noauto,iocharset=utf8,noatime,sync,fscontext=system_u:object_r:removable_t,managed 0 0
