That did the trick. The DVD is now /dev/scd0 instead of /dev/hdc. I can now play DVDs and VCDs on the system!!! Something more to add to the page I am building an the A105-S4004. I will have to check CD/DVD burning, but I don't expect problems. Who know, I may get everything working one of these days...
