Samba Slow on FC3

Good morning,

I'm running Samba v3.0.14a-2 on FC3 and it's working alright but all my
users are complaining that it's slow.  No one is barking about the
slowness using NFS mounts from the same machine or SMB mounts from other
machines including Windows and Samba.

What can I do to track down this slowness and/or optimize the server?
