Hi Jeff and folks, To my surprise after reinserting Gigabyte PCI-E card, GV=NX66256DP2 NVidia 6600 PCIE 256MB DDR II/128 bit the Avixe Platinum USB drive detected by FC5_64 automatically on plugin # dmesg | grep usb .... ...... USB Mass Storage support registered. Vendor: AVIXE Model: PDU01_512 61G2.0 Rev: 0.00 Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02 SCSI device sdb: 983808 512-byte hdwr sectors (504 MB) sdb: Write Protect is off sdb: Mode Sense: 00 00 00 00 sdb: assuming drive cache: write through SCSI device sdb: 983808 512-byte hdwr sectors (504 MB) sdb: Write Protect is off sdb: Mode Sense: 00 00 00 00 sdb: assuming drive cache: write through sdb: sdb1 sdb2 ......... Previously I got lot of trouble in running FC5_64 with PC hanging. So I removed the PCI-E card and disabled onboard LAN, sound, etc. After solving the problem with FC5_64 now working quite stable, I enabled onboard LAN and sound and finally reinserted the PCI-E card. The only difference discovered on inserting the card is on; /etc/X11/xorg.conf ... Section "Device" Identifier "Videocard0" Driver "nv" VendorName "Videocard vendor" BoardName "nVidia Corporation C51 PCI Express Bridge" Option "HWCursor" "off" EndSection .... Before when the PCI-E card was on slot; BoardName "nVidia Corporation NV43 [GeForce 6600]" I don't know whether without editing it will influence the performance of the card. I'll leave it a while to see what will happen. B.R. SL
