Isn't this just cpu throttling in action - I.e. your cpu throttles down to a slower speed when its not needed, to save battery and keep cool. Try running some cpu intensive app (glxgears ?) and watch the entry for a while. If it is throttled, you should see the cpu speed jump back to its full speed when needs its full power. Chris
