/var directory is full of something.

/home and /old-slash are different partitions:
[root@christiansens ~]# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda1 48G 48G 0 100% /
tmpfs 1004M 0 1004M 0% /dev/shm
/dev/sda3 96G 40G 52G 44% /home
/dev/sdb1 143G 86G 50G 64% /old-slash
So... Everything on /dev/sda1 should add up to something roughly 25 gigs,
not 48!!!
