If one were to be pedantically logical about it, using the first example, mapping partitions would *only* map those partitions. The remaining ones would be used as they really are (i.e. hd0,0 would seen as hd1,0, but hd0,1 would still be hd0,1). -- (Currently running FC4, occasionally trying FC5.)
