Thanks to: http://stanton-finley.net/fedora_core_5_installation_notes.html I could manage to install my first productive FC5 system in a very short time. I am really impressed. The PC is mainly used for making and editing DVB-S recordings. Everything works perfect. With one little exception: My external USB 2.0 disk normally running at about 20MB/s when writing and 25MB/s when reading on any other Linux system (Ubuntu, Knoppix, SUSE) reads only at about 11MB/s when reading under FC5. Writing is ok. Is there a sort of tuning parameter to get this speed back to normal? FMF
