Nevermind. I figured it out. Here's the resolution in case anybodyelse runs into this:


Had an old /etc/nsswitch.conf that specified:

hosts:      files nisplus dns

The new one (provided by glibc) was sitting there as/etc/nsswitch.conf.rpmnew. It specified:


hosts:      files dns

I renamed the .rpmnew version to be the current file and noweverything's working again.
