I can assure you that I didn't scare him off because he already sent me
an email insulting me, rather than asking about how to use a mailing
list.
An attitute is something very arguable. Although I was blunt and
displayed discontentment, I never offended.
As for an insult, well, that's very different.

Maybe it's his first time. All it takes is hitting the reply-to-all vs.
the reply key or making some other silly mistake when you're in a rush.
And maybe you just scared him off from ever posting again, or becoming
more involved in the project.
This "ESR" my-life-is-far-too-important-to-be-disrupted-by-your-
ignorance may very well be hampering the adoption of Linux on the whole.
Forget about open/proprietary codecs or file formats.
One of the selling-points of open source software is the great community
support available. How can I refer my boss/friends/family/university
off to any of these mailing lists when he's likely to encounter
attitudes such as this?
Although, to be fair and balanced, the vast majority of folks I've seen
participate here on a regular basis do seem to be more friendly and open
than "nunoauboulot@xxxxxxxxxxxxx" Kudos and recognition are due to
those folks.

Can someone please point me in the right direction with this issue?
On my fc3 machine, at the login prompt, when I enter a username and
press enter , instead of displaying the password prompt, it displays
the username prompt again. It seems I can no longer log onto the
system, however, I can secure shell into it and it logs me in just
fine.
Is this a Grub problem?
