2) Go to the 'Settings' menu
3) Go to 'configure amaroK'
4) Go to the section labelled 'Engine'
5) Tell us what is in the field called 'Sound System'

I have the "GStreamer 0.10 Engine" mentioned out there.
Additionally I installed "yum install gstreamer-plugins-mp3" but this is
gave me no result.
I believe the package in livna is called gstreamer-plugins-ugly. I'm not
sure whether this contains the MP3 codec but it should.
