Vasantha,

This is usually, if you have problems with your connection to the internet
itself or with dns-resolution. This is said with: 'Temporary failure in
name resolution'. Perhaps you ISP's dns-server was down at this time??

Do you get a reply on : 'host http://download.fedora.redhat.com'? If no,
check your /etc/resolv.conf, that there is an appropiate dns-server
entered, which resolves the fqdn's, then it should work fine...if yes, yum
should also work properly...
