As far as I can tell, my Lexmark, the only printer I have installed, *was* already configured as the default in system-config-printer. Big green check next to it in the Default column. When I open user Default Printer utility, it is blank; no printers are listed to choose from. Thanks for your assistance. -- Colin Brace Amsterdam
