Hi, Too many kernel are installed on my box: [alain@zarathoustra i386]$ rpm -qa | grep kernel | sort kernel-2.6.11-1.1369_FC4 kernel-2.6.12-1.1447_FC4 kernel-2.6.13-1.1526_FC4 kernel-2.6.14-1.1644_FC4 kernel-2.6.14-1.1656_FC4 kernel-2.6.15-1.1830_FC4 kernel-2.6.15-1.1831_FC4 kernel-2.6.15-1.1833_FC4 kernel-smp-2.6.11-1.1369_FC4 kernel-smp-2.6.12-1.1447_FC4 kernel-smp-2.6.13-1.1526_FC4 kernel-smp-2.6.14-1.1644_FC4 kernel-smp-2.6.14-1.1656_FC4 kernel-smp-2.6.15-1.1830_FC4 kernel-smp-2.6.15-1.1831_FC4 kernel-smp-2.6.15-1.1833_FC4 How can I remove cleanly the oldest and keep only the last?
rpm- -e the ones you no longer want. For example: # rpm -e \ kernel-2.6.11-1.1369_FC4 \ kernel-2.6.12-1.1447_FC4 \ kernel-2.6.13-1.1526_FC4 \ kernel-2.6.14-1.1644_FC4 \ kernel-smp-2.6.11-1.1369_FC4 \ kernel-smp-2.6.12-1.1447_FC4 \ kernel-smp-2.6.13-1.1526_FC4 \ kernel-smp-2.6.14-1.1644_FC4 Just be sure not to delete the running kernel.
