Also  yum install usbutils
then run lsusb

who the hell knows why but its not installed by default, least it wasnt here

mount -t (type) /dev/sda /media/externalhdd

Be sure to create the mount point as well.

.....rebooting show this in the log file, not sure which device to mount? Whey does it have 4 when there's only 1 drive?
