Desktop > Preferences > More prefs. > Sessions > start up apps tab >
Add : /usr/bin/nm-applet


Also, you should check that NetworkManager and related apps are enabled
when booting; e.g. Desktop > System Settings (or about) > Server
settings (Maybe "daemon settings" or similar in your language) >
Services (as root).
