What OS are you using to provide the sizes (larger than those given on the web site)? I believe that Windows calculates MB differently than Linux does. 2. Did you also download the SHA1SUM file and do a sha1sum compare of the file you got with the values in that file? If you did #2 and the sha1sum matches then this is most assuredly an issue with the way the filesystem is displaying the sizes. What I see on the download site for the i386 iso images is 687235072 Mar 15 04:47 FC-5-i386-disc1.iso 700618752 Mar 15 04:48 FC-5-i386-disc2.iso 721016832 Mar 15 04:50 FC-5-i386-disc3.iso 720910336 Mar 15 04:51 FC-5-i386-disc4.iso 387753984 Mar 15 04:52 FC-5-i386-disc5.iso 3253669888 Mar 15 04:49 FC-5-i386-DVD.iso 79122432 Mar 15 04:31 FC-5-i386-rescuecd.iso If you see exactly the same byte sizes and the sha1sum matches there is no problem. There is not a problem if the sha1sum matches even if you cannot see the actual byte sizes. > can someone explain it? > > > > > > ______________________________________________________________________ > New Yahoo!
