What you will see is that the kernel is based on a "release candidate" of 2.6.16, which since it was put together prior to the actual release of 2.6.16 (which apparently coincided on Monday?), continues to be called 2.6.15.... There was a thread about this on the -devel list but essentially stuff in the "rc" kernel is a "pre-release", so the Red Hat folks keep to the original/release number.... Try, "rpm -q --changelog kernel" and look near the top of the output to see exactly which kernel Dave has re-based to.... --Rob
