Then why does the default mirrorlist only reply with one site, while the
-redirect version does the necessary redirects?

There are lost of nodes with fedora-release-5-5.noarch.rpm installed and the
wrong mirrorlist, my point being that if there's anything you can tell us
regarding an update for the fedora-core-5 mirrorlist, what's the ETA?

Is this an unforeseen error? Was this a mistake, was in overlooked when
building the fedora-release-5-5.noarch.rpm? Hasn't it been tested properly?

If ppl leave things the way they are, 'things' don't work properly. But then
again, work around solutions are to be implemented both carefully and on a
temporary basis, I agree.
