Look at your fstab file, and create a /tmp mountpoint in a similar way to other ones. You mount a partition onto a /tmp directory, the partition (or you can use an entire drive), can come from anywhere. e.g. /dev/hda3 /tmp ext3 defaults,noexec,nodev 1 2 -- Don't send private replies to my address, the mailbox is ignored.
