Yes and no - I have got as far as being able to log in as anne@remoteserver by giving the passphrase. Probably for most purposes that is enough. However, I now need to understand how to use the keys for unattended backup across the lan. I've got the man pages here to study, but there's so much that it's hard to filter out the bit I'm looking for. Anne
