i have a problem, i'm trying to get a function to work with RAR, an
archiver for Linux.
i'm typing in the following and all i get is the command listing for
commands and switches:

function rar { /dir/path/rar/rar ; }
or
rar () { /dir/path/rar/rar ; }
---------------------------------------------------------------
neither one really works, except to list the commands and switches that
tell me how to use the program. i have an alias set up that works fine,
but i really would like the function to work instead! can anyone help?
someone offered help in the silug i'm a member of, but it still did the
same thing.
