Hello,

I have FC4 running on a Dell X1 notebook.

On updating to kernel-2.6.14-1.1831_FC4, system-config-network "Cannot activate device eth1", reporting "tg3 device eth1 does not seem to be present".

Rebooting to kernel-2.6.14-1.1656_FC4, eth1 is found as "Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 2200BG", and it can be activated successfully.

Earlier kernels were OK, but -1.1833 has the same problem.

I did not install any kernels between -1.1656 and -1.1831.

Is there any work-around for this?

As usual I am confused. tg3 is the driver for the Dell wired internet
card. Do you have your wired card as eth1 and you wireless card as
eth0?
When it is working (under 1.1656), eth0 is wired and eth1 is wireless. I have done nothing to change this, AFAIK.

Peter
