Is there any work-around for this?
I tried the fix in Bugzilla Bug 180599, but the problem still occurrs.
Do you have all other updates installed? There was an issue with firmware
loading conflicts between hotplug, udev, and kernel, but if you are
up2date with all of those, you shoudn't have that problem. You might try
renaming /etc/hotplug/firmware.agent to /etc/hotplug/firmware.agent.sav.
(Note that there is some risk that you will render the system temporarily
unbootable. Have a rescue disk handy. You can restore the previous state
of affairs by just putting the agent file back.)
I have hotplug-2004_09_23-7 and udev-071-0.FC4.3 and it's all working fine
now for me.
