I don't have any problem exporting to eps, png and others
may be you need to install some files,

here are mine
$ rpm -qa |grep office
openoffice.org-writer-2.0.1.1-5.1

openoffice.org-javafilter-2.0.1.1-5.1
openoffice.org-calc-2.0.1.1-5.1

may be the filter files are responsible for it
