Thanks If you are just trying to get the Updates, then the correct command is rsync --partial --timeout=300 -vprt --exclude=debug/ \ rsync://ftp.ndlug.nd.edu/fedora-linux-core-updates/4/i386/\ /mnt/ms/fc4update/ Note the different source directory, and the terminating '/' on the URL's for both the source and destination directories. Your command was picking up the entire directory for Fedora Base, including all the different versions. -- Tony
