today i did an update to the kernel listed above. after the update i rebooted only to discover no sound. i re-ran the soundcard detection but to no avail. the card is an onboard via 8237 that was working just fine before the update. i've googled it a bit but have found no mention of this issue. anyone have any idea what's going on and how to resolve the problem? thank you so much. -- jack wallen, jr get your pantz off, get your skirt on www.monkeypantz.net
