Can someone please tell me how to configure /usr/kerberos/bin/telnetd to
turn off kerberos authentication? I'm starting telnetd within xinetd
with the following /etc/xinetd.d/krb5.telnet file:
[root@petrel xinetd.d]# cat krb5-telnet
# default: off
# description: The kerberized telnet server accepts normal telnet
sessions, \
# but can also use Kerberos 5 authentication.
service telnet
{
flags = REUSE
socket_type = stream
wait = no
user = root
server = /usr/kerberos/sbin/telnetd
server_args = -a off -X KERBEROS_V5
log_on_failure += USERID
disable = no
}
Unfortunately, whenever I attempt to establish a login session, the
server still attempts to authenticate to a kdc server.
