duplicate content at fedora web site??

  i'm a little confused by some of the stuff i'm seeing here:

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/extras/

i have no idea what "pre-extras" means, and it seems like some of
those files are identical.  is all that stuff meaningful?  just
curious.
