finalizing mplayer installation

Hi

so far I installed mplayer successfully. It already plays DVD videos,but there are some lacks in the operation.


- It plays not continuously but only single files.

- The menu selection does not work - no reaction on mouse movements andclicks

- No or wrong activties with the control panel

Is this a question of the set up or there some modules missing and ifyes which ones?
