Yes, and the vnc module for X also has the nice feature that
you can leave long-running programs on the console and
periodically vist them with vncviewer.  However, vnc probably
isn't the best choice for doing all your work.  Running X
remotely or freenx/nxclient will give better performance
and they are also cross-plaform although not quite as widely
ported as vnc, which you can run on a palm device.
